Easyflex has in-house capability for performing vibration and fatigue troubleshooting, testing & analysis services. From these results, we modify the equipment design – ensuring structural integrity, minimizing risk and controlling costs for owners/users.
Most vibration problems on equipment are due to thermal, mechanical, acoustic, or flow related excitation – and if left unchecked, will cause fatigue, and subsequent equipment failure, which may lead to greater repair costs.
Components vibrate at particular natural frequencies. These frequencies and resulting mode shapes can be found using modal and vibration analysis. Often, simple analysis can be performed, while for more complex systems, finite element analysis is performed to determine the dynamic response.
Once vibration and fatigue issues are identified, we recommend solutions to ensure structural integrity. Examples include:
• Troubleshooting, Analysis and Repair of rotating equipment including compressors, fans and shafts
• Vibration, Seismic & Fatigue Analysis of piping, tanks, vessels, skids and welded structures
• Shock and Vibration Analysis of nuclear equipment in land-based and shipboard applications
• Vibration Audit for existing Pump Rooms and Retrofit them to reduce Noise and Vibration transmitted into structure.
We use Finite Element Analysis to predict of how a part or assembly behaves under given conditions. It is used as the basis for modern simulation software and helps engineers to find weak spots, areas of tension, etc. in their designs. The results of a simulation based on the FEA method are usually depicted via a color scale that shows for example, the pressure distribution over the object. We perform FEA analysis for all types of our Rubber Expansion Bellows and have access to softwares such as Solidwords, AutoCAD and ANSYS.
