R Rahman was designed in Chennai with the purpose of recording\u00a0music. Therefore, it was essential to preserve the sound quality inside the studio and\u00a0prevent its transmission outside. We at Easyflex, the experts of Noise &amp; Vibration Isolation\u00a0were approached by the client to provide an appropriate solution for the same.<\/p>\n<p>The solution that was proposed and finally executed by us was the \u2018Floating Floor System\u00a0using Easyflex Jack Up Mounts\u2019. This solution was based on the principle that sound\u00a0transmission from a particular room can be prevented by the introduction of an air gap at the floor. The air gap can be anywhere between 1\u201d and 4\u201d depending on the isolation\u00a0efficiency required, and in this case, a 4\u201d air gap was chosen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0The first step was to calculate the loads that the floating floor would sustain.
